About the Event
Velorosa members and guests are invited to Madison County Winery Saturday, Sept 2 to enjoy an afternoon/evening of camaraderie, delicious wines, beers and ciders, food truck (Walking Noods), smores and star gazing! Multiple options to participate via bike, or just meet up and enjoy exclusive overnight camping option at the winery!
- Ride Details | Ride starts at 1pm and is 30mi one way from Great Western Trail Head. We will utilize a mixture of the Great Western Trail and paved roads to reach the winery.
- Route RWGPS | https://ridewithgps.com/trips/130077792
- Food & Beverages | A food truck (Walking Noods - Hibachi on the Go) will be on site for dinner and Velorosa will provide the S'mores! Sunday morning will be Casey's breakfast pizza.
- Exclusive Camping | The winery has invite-only camping spots available on-site and has offered our team and guests use of the space as well as access to the restrooms and shower overnight for free!
HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK:
1. Select how you want to participate:
A. Bike Pack & Camp - I'll be carrying all the things & my camping gear in and out via my bike!
B. Bike & Glamp - I'll be riding but I need my camping gear & a small overnight bag hauled for me!
C.Bike Only - I'll be biking with the group to the winery but not camping.
D. No Bike - I'll be joining for the afternoon/evening but will not be biking.
2. Mark your calendars & take note of the timeline for how you choose to participate.
--> Bike & Glampers - We will have one truck available to haul tents and one overnight bag per person from the ride start, to the winery and back to the start on Sunday. Gear can be loaded 12:30 - 12:55 on Saturday and the truck with gear will be at the finish from until 1pm for gear pick up on Sunday. You will be responsible for loading and unloading your gear from the truck. Please be mindful and pack gear minimally to allow space for as many who need the assistance as possible but keep in mind this will be a single truck bed of space.
3. Want to bring a guest, friend or significant other? GREAT, invite them to complete the RSVP as well with how they'll participate so we can plan for S'mores, breakfast pizza and other supplies as well as provide the winery and food truck counts if possible!
